Wow. So apparently it has been 2 months since I last wrote. Does that say much about our life lately??? One word: BUSY. Here are some updates ...
Kylie is 8.5 months (still trying to grasp this)
Brian has a new job
We are now the proud owners of a 2001 Honda Civic
Work was out-of-control busy this Christmas (yay!)
Jacob (the dog) now has a new home :(
Life has been good but insane. Lots of stress, but lots of memories. We have been faced with a lot of decisions to make these past few months ... life shaping decisions.
After 1 1/2 years at Enterprise RideShare, we made the decision for Brian to move on. It wasn't paying the bills and with our new family, we needed to get on track financially. He is now at Ooyala in Mountain View. He is a national inside sales rep. Our friend, JR, introduced him to the company and hired him. He has about and hour and a half commute each way, so we got him a Honda Civic.
We decided Jacob needed a new home. We weren't able to give him the love and attention he deserved, with having Kylie around and all the attention she needs. We contacted the Yorkie Rescue Organization and they will be keeping him until they find him a forever home. We know he will be much happier and have a better life with a family who can devote lots of attention to him. It will be better for us as well. There are so many reasons why it is hard having a little one roaming around with a small, insecure doggie. Baaaaad combination :( We are very sad to see him leave, but we are trying to convince ourselves that this is the best thing for him ... we know it is ... its just hard admitting it.
Kylie is getting so big! She is 8.5 months. Here are some new highlights:
- She has her first tooth
- She rolls around (no crawling yet ... just rolling everywhere)
- She loves to giggle and smile
- She still loves bath time with her pink rubber ducky and likes to splash
- She is trying to talk (she says mama ma, but I don't know if she realizes what shes saying ... although I don't care! I love hearing it)
- Still loves jewelry and shiny things
- She likes to be sung to
- She is now eating fruits, veggies and chicken, along with her formula, rice and oatmeal
- She loves having pictures taken of her. She instantly looks right in the camera
- She is in love with her bunny (thanks Jenna). Will not go to sleep without it
She has been so much fun! The older she gets, the harder it is to see her get more and more independent, but it does get more exciting to see her explore new things and fin what she likes and dislikes. She is creating her own personality!
